THE?first collection of plastics organised by the North Tawton Plastic Group on Saturday, November 21 was hailed as a great success.

The collections have been started in the car park off The Square for plastics that cannot be collected at the kerbside.

Two large bins were soon full so extra plastic was collected in black sacks. There were very few items that had to be rejected, said the team.

The next collection will be on Saturday, December 19 from 10am to 12.30pm and thereafter every third Saturday of the month.
