CHARITABLE group Kaleb’s Thumbprint held a summer fete at North Tawton Rugby Club at the weekend to raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

The fete, which ran from 10am to 5pm, included many stalls, a car boot sale, pony rides, a draw, bouncy castle, face painting, barbecue, lucky dip, cream tea and much more.

It was after losing 18-month-old Kaleb that the family, which comes from North Tawton, wanted to raise as much money, and awareness, as possible for what they described as ‘this fantastic charity’.

Throughout the year, his family has raised a great deal of money for the charity through raffles, curry and quiz evenings and other events and Kaleb’s father, Luke Compton, has run many marathons and raised funds through sponsorship and donations.
