RESIDENTS of Winkleigh will have the opportunity to talk to members of Torridge District Council's customer services, waste and recycling, and service improvement teams — on their own doorstep.

Staff will be holding a TDC roadshow in Winkleigh today (Thursday), and members of the public are welcome to come along and talk to officers about any concerns or suggestions they may have about the council. A similar event will be held in High Bickington on the same day.

Councillor Philip Collins, leader of Torridge District Council, said: 'This is not only an opportunity for local residents to come and talk to us, but also an opportunity for us to listen and understand their issues in their community.

'It's not often we are able to go out to our rural communities so I hope that villagers in Winkleigh and High Bickington do come and see us.'

For residents who cannot make it to the roadshow, there is an opportunity to tell the council what you think by taking part in a survey on their website at http://www.torridge.gov.uk/consultations">www.torridge.gov.uk/consultations

Alternatively, hard copies of the questionnaire  are available at each of the council's offices.

The roadshow takes place in Winkleigh Square at 10.30am to 12.30pm.
