FIREFIGHTERS were called to Exeter Road, Okehampton, on Monday after a report of a road traffic collision.

Two crews from Okehampton attended just before 4.50pm and found a two vehicle collision with one person still within one of the vehicles, but not physically trapped.

Firefighters removed the roof of the vehicle with hydraulic cutting equipment to release the person safely. Small tools were also used. The casualty was transported to hospital via land ambulance.
