ORGANISERS are gearing up for the fifth charity party and 'Cream Tea Run' motorbike ride at the end of May to raise money for Hospiscare and the National Association for Bikers with a Disability.

For the fifth year running, Okehampton Bikers and the SBRC Rally Club will come together for a weekend of fun, live music, friendship and fundraising at Bracken Tor House, which has been kindly provided by John Elson and staff at Adventure Okehampton.

The first night on Friday, May 31, will be a relaxing one of food and live music headlined by the band 4-2 The Bar.

The following day sees the charity motorcycle ride, with bikers meeting at the London Inn at 10.30am, to set off at 11am. The route includes several stops to enjoy the scenery.

For a small donation, the ride is escorted by the Okehampton Bikers, and cars are welcome to follow behind. That evening, there will be a barbecue, tattooist, raffle, and more live music headlined by the renamed Monkey Gland Band.

Revellers can enjoy a hearty English breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings to help recover from the fun.

Entrance on each night is £3 each or £5 for both nights. There will be a minibus between 6.30pm and 9pm on Saturday, taking people to Bracken Tor House for a nominal fee. A weekend pass to include camping or hostel accommodation and full English breakfasts costs £22 per person camping, or £32 for hostel rooms. The donation to take part in the bike ride is £5.

For more details, visit Rockhen's Coop in the Arcade and speak with Janice Elson. All proceeds from the weekend will support the two charities.
