AS part of the Peter Tavy Village Fayre runners of all abilities and ages are invited to take part in the eighth annual Peter Tavy Plod and Fun Run.

This popular event takes place on bank holiday Monday on August 29, starting at 3pm.

Entry is £4 for the Plod and £2 for the fun run, with an extra £1 on the day; registration from 2pm in the village square.

Organisers promise a scenic and undulating five mile course run over moorland tracks

and woodland trails with stunning panoramic views.

There is also a fun run over 1.5 miles for younger competitors.

The event is open to all runners and there are trophies in various categories and spot prizes to be won. Why not bring the family to enjoy a traditional Village Fayre at the same time? - in what is a great family day out!
