YOUR scrap metal could help support a working farm helping adults with a range of disabilities.

Lindfield is a farm at Sampford Courtenay that is run as a day centre for adults of all ages with a wide range of disabilities. Adults attending the centre can get involved in feeding and watering the animals, and plant and grow vegetables.

The farm also has a craft shed and workshop for when the weather is poor. Candle-making, mosaics, and woodwork are just some of the activities on offer.

As a non-charitable organisation, the team at Lindfield is always having to come up with creative ways to fund the work that goes on at the farm.

The current project is to collect scrap metal to raise money further to improve disabled access around the farm. There are currently scrap metal collection pots at Okehampton Freefit garage in the town centre, and at Tyred and Exhausted on Exeter Road Industrial Estate.

The team is looking for any scrap metal, such as screws, nails, nuts and bolts, and metal cut-offs. If you would like to donate some scrap metal or would like a collection pot for your place of work, please call Kevin on 07881 953180 or e-mail [email protected]">[email protected]
