FIREFIGHTERS from Tavistock and Yelverton were called to reports of a property fire in Manor Way, Tavistock last Wednesday (September 3). On arrival crews discovered smoke issuing from the the ground floor kitchen of a three storey , mid-terraced property. Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one safety jet, a ladder, small tools and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the blaze. The kitchen was severely damaged by the fire and the remainder of the property was damaged by heat and smoke.
