HATHERLEIGH Care Village will open its doors open to the public on Sunday October 2 to celebrate Grandparents' Day.

From 3pm the community and schools can join in a day of arts, crafts and wisdom-sharing with residents and family members.

Children will also be able to send in a painting, poem, picture or other piece of artwork prior to the event to try and win some art supplies. Prizes and certificates will be given out on the day.
