OKEHAMPON'S Simmons Park played host to the New Year's celebrations attended by almost 200 revellers.
The evening began with a drinks reception, provided by Winkleigh Cider. Partygoers danced the night away to Bruce Game, an authentic and charismatic tribute to Freddie Mercury, followed by the skills of a professional disc jockey.
Tracey and Jason Sandford, who organised the event, said: 'We would just like to say thank you for the fantastic support we received from the town council, Simmons Park Committee, Donald's menswear, E-clips, all the local businesses who kindly donated a prize for our charity draw and all the people who came and enjoyed the evening, making it such a success.'
The marquee was decorated and featured a fully stocked bar. Tracey and Jason say they have had some 'amazing' feedback from those who joined them, including one who said: 'That was the best New Year's Eve I've had — I can't wait until next year.'
