ADULTS with learning difficulties and disabilities can try their hand at a new sport thanks to a brand new inclusive sports club.

Torridge District Council and Active Devon have teamed up to create the Strawberry Club. Based in Great Torrington sports hall, the club is open to anyone living in the Torridge and North Devon area with learning difficulties or disabilities to come and try their hand at a sport.

Initially the club will run for eight weeks. On offer will be a varied and diverse range of sports activities, such as multi-skills athletics, trampolining, table tennis, boccia, frisbee, football and more, all led by qualified sports coaches. At the end of the eight-week period the more popular sports will continue as the club grows.

The sessions will run from 2pm to 4pm every Sunday from January 20, costing £2 per person per week.
