IF you have wondered how to take down a large tree in a small space then there is a chance to see how it is done at RHS Garden Rosemoor.
The arboricultural team will be taking out a 70ft high purple beech that is potentially unsafe due to a weak point caused by twin trunking.
Due to space restrictions or the understory being of high horticultural value, straightforward felling is often not possible. The team will guide visitors through dismantling the tree from start to finish.
The demonstration will start on Wednesday December 1 at 10.30am through to 1pm, then resume again at 2pm until 3.30pm.
As this demonstration is weather-dependent please phone Rosemoor on 01805 626 800 to ensure the work will be carried out on the day quoted.
