A NURSERY in Sticklepath will launch its latest initiative for sustainability and customer service at the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park between Wednesday, July 18 and Sunday, July 22.

Tim Penrose, owner of Bowden Hostas, is using the show to launch the company's newest recyclable carrier bags, each emblazoned with Mr Penrose's mobile telephone number should the customer require further information on their plants or the nursery.

Mr Penrose said: 'It's the antithesis of all that is modern and high tech. We will be up to date where it matters — we were the only company daft or brave enough to use iPads to take orders at Chelsea this year, but customer service has to drip personality.

'We initially thought about using an e-mail address, but that would have been a cop out. No, it's my mobile, and I am proud to have it there.'

The nursery struck gold twice at the 2012 RHS Chelsea Flower Show, bringing their haul to eight golds in eight years.

They also took two golds at Gardening Scotland and one at the recent BBC Gardener's World Show. The nursery has also been awarded a Royal Warrant to the Prince of Wales.

Mr Penrose said: 'Ferns are storming back into fashion. People hadn't seen a fern display like ours at Chelsea for years, and it inspired them to order loads of ferns. We were rushed off out feet. And we are now ideally placed with our experts to offer the best advice and the finest service.'

The show promises another eye-catching display, as well as the chance to place orders on over 150 hostas.

The Bowden Hostas stand number for the Tatton Park show is FM32. For further details, visit http://www.bowdenhostas.com">www.bowdenhostas.com
