THE charity fashion shows at Mole Avon Okehampton start tonight (Thursday), and tickets are still available. The fundraising events will take place at the Okehampton branch from today to Saturday, May 3, from 7.30pm each night to raise money for Hospiscare. The events are a continuation of the Mole Avon Ruby Appeal launched last year. It is hoped the events will help the company reach its target of £40,000 for the charity. Mole Avon's last fashion show was held in 2011 over two nights, and raised £7,000 which was split between charities CLIC Sargent and the BBC Radio Devon Air Ambulance Appeal. The hope is that this event will be as successful again. The shows will feature the customers, friends and families of Mole Avon parading its new season's clothing, all of which will be available to buy at the local branches. There will be a raffle draw on the last night, which will include prizes such as a 32 inch Toshiba Smart LED TV. Raffle tickets cost £1 each. Entry tickets for each night are £10 and include a free glass of sparkling wine and nibbles plus a discount voucher to spend in store. There will be interval entertainment each evening, a licensed bar and waiter service. Tickets are selling well, so buy early to avoid disappointment. To help on the evening, Will's Taxi has kindly offered a free taxi service from Okehampton town centre to Mole Avon and back again after the show on all three evenings.
