OKEHAMPTON Argyle U14s celebrated another fine season on Saturday with their end of season presentation.

The revelry started with a game between the U14s and their parents/coaches and the strongly contested game went the way of the juniors as their superior fitness told in a 5-4 victory the winner coming five minutes from time. The goalscorers were Josh Stanbury, Callum Goodwin, Tom Stanbury, Ryan Gross and Jamie Mallett for the youth while Pete Gross, Julian Burns (2) and Chris Dearing netted for the parents.

Following a barbecue the main presentations took place in the clubhouse and the beneficiaries of the awards were: most improved players of the year, Bas Loram and Ryan Gross; managers' players of the year, Tom Stanbury and Lewis Taylor; players' player of the year, Josh Stanbury; supporters' player of the year, Ben Barkwill; most man of the match awards, Ben Bickle; and league player of the year, Josh Stanbury. Bouquets were given to Mandy Gross and Heather Sandercock in recognition of all their hard work and dedication during the season and special thanks were given to Neil Clift for all his help in setting up the day and refereeing the match.

The boys return for pre-season training on Saturday July 23 as U15s. All boys are welcome, both old and new, either turn up on that date or call Nelson Voaden (07769 299408) or Pete Gross (07786 386946).
