THE Colostomy Association is the latest charity to benefit from Waitrose's Community Matters scheme.

The charity has received £280 from the scheme, which was raised in October. Janice Parkyn from the Mid Devon Ostomy Support Group paid a visit to the Okehampton store recently to collect a cheque from Community Matters co-ordinator Sonia Kelly.

The Colostomy Association provides support, reassurance and practical information to anyone who has or is about to have a colostomy.

They strive to raise awareness of what it is like to have a stoma and what it means to live with a colostomy.
