IT WAS a close call for Bow Primary School when they came first in the annual Rotary Primary Schools Quiz last month.
The winners of each heat went through to the final with the highest runner-up for all heats going through to make a fourth team.
This year the heat winners were Bow, Northlew and Ashbury and Lydford, with South Tawton being the highest runner-up.
The scene was set for an exciting final in Okehampton's Octagon Theatre, with Bow coming out on top, just five points separating all four teams.
The winning team received certificates from Rotary district governor George Kempton and a book each which had been kindly donated by president of the Okehampton Rotary Club Allenton Fisher.
The challenge cup and a cheque for £100 was collected by headteacher of Bow Hazel Fox.
