‘We had probably the best ever Tavifest,’ said organiser Jean Keast after the weekend event which saw well over 650 people through the gates.
‘After the last 18 months it seemed everyone was out for a good time and the sun shone for us,’ she said
Friday night was DJ night with five local DJs unleashing their sounds to a dancing crowd.
Saturday was the family day, with stalls, funfair, hot and cold food and drink and the ‘most awesome’ performers of course.
‘It has been a truly wonderful two day event, added Jean. ‘We are still collecting money but we are cautiously optimistic that we can send several hundred pounds to Pancreatic Cancer Action.
‘Our thanks go to our sponsors RM Builders and Contractors, TH March Insurance Group, Tyremarks Tavistock, Black Sheep Brew and West Country Financial and Tavistock Happy Tails. In addition the local businesses who support us especially Tavistock Hire Centre and Silk Road Protection who kept us all safe.
‘We are grateful to the Environmental department at WDBC and Devon and Cornwall Police who gave us lots of valuable advice.’
