ON behalf of CLIC Sargent, the children's cancer charity, I would like to thank all those readers who have given up their time, dug deep in their pockets, and thrown all of their energies into supporting CLIC Sargent throughout 2011.

In total last year, an extremely impressive £25,370 was raised by supporters from South Devon for CLIC Sargent!

You have helped us be there for many local children and young people with cancer and their families, enabling us to give them the emotional and practical support they need.

Over the next few years we are determined to extend our services to reach even more children and young people with cancer across the UK, and with your help we will succeed.

As we swiftly progress into 2012, I very much hope the work of CLIC Sargent will remain in your hearts and look forward to your much needed support.
