I WOULD like through your newspaper to thank the kind people of Tavistock who came to our aid last Friday afternoon.  

My sister unfortunately fell and broke a bone in her arm. The ladies from a nearby shop came out to offer assistance, two local doctors who were passing by and a kind taxi driver named Rose was exceptionally helpful taking us to the local hospital and also collecting her husband who was waiting in his car at a local car park.   

We were just in Tavistock for the day visiting. Although not a happy ending to our day we would like to express our thanks to the good and kind people of Tavistock.
