STEAK, parsnip and horseradish are the main ingredients found in what has been announced as the Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink's official 2011 festival pie.
The steak, parsnip and horseradish pie has been created by Tom's Pies, in conjunction with Dartmoor Farmers' Association, and was named as the official festival pie after a taste test at the festival launch event.
The pie has been created using regional produce and will be available, while stocks last, at the festival in Exeter from April 29 to May 1.
Tom Cull, of Tom's Pies, based in Clyst St Mary, said: 'We wanted to create something special and so teamed up with Dartmoor Farmers' Association to source the beef. In addition to being truly local, the meat is farmed sustainably, something which is very important to us.
'We're really excited about being at the festival again this year and would encourage visitors to drop by our stand to stock up on this fantastic pie.'
