A WEST Devon based supplier of organic meat boxes has received two gold stars in the 2012 Great Taste Awards.

Eversfield Organic of Bratton Clovelly won two awards for its organic back bacon and rib eye steaks, in the major event organised by the Guild of Fine Food.

Eversfield Organic is run by Mark, Anna and Hamish Bury.

Mark said: 'To be recognised as one of the UK's finest producers is a fantastic accolade and to win not one but two gold stars for our produce is just superb.'

In the Great Taste Awards all products are judged by at least three different judging panels at three venues.

This year more than 8,800 products were entered from more than 2,500 different companies.
