Topsham ladies

Hatherleigh Cricket Club ladies played hosts to Topsham on Sunday.   Unfortunately the start was delayed due to rain and the match was reduced to a 20 over game.

Topsham won the toss and put Hatherleigh in to bat, Catherine Williams (30) and Clare Reynolds (20) got the team off to a good start, scoring at a steady five an over.  This rate was maintained by the rest of the team but only Kirsty Tidball reached double figures with 14 no and the final score was 100-5.  Wicket takers for Topsham being Jenny Thorne, 1-29, Rosie Short 1-29 and Anne Le-Brock 1-14.

Hatherleigh's hopes of a win were helped when Kirsty Tidball bowled Claire Thomas with her first ball but good steady batting by Jenny Thorne (31 no), aided by Hannah Jones (29) and Bridget Colver (24) saw Topsham home with one over to spare.
