THERE is an opportunity to visit local artists and craftspeople in Chagford at their own homes and studios this weekend.

The Open Studio event, sponsored by the Ludgate Gallery, will be running at the same time as Chagford Arts Festival.

Angharad Barlow, a spokesperson for the event, said: 'There will be a variety of artists from painters and illustrators to ceramics, sculpture and textiles and much more. 

'It may be an idividual artist in situ or a collaboration of artists presenting exhibitions such as the Sustainable Style exhibit where they combine their skills with local resources to present ideas on how you can bring real sustainability into your life with functional and style.'

Most of the 16 venues are open between 10am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The venues are located around the square and there are also refreshments available as well as venues dotted between local pubs.
