Speakers will explore the arguments for reopening various routes, as well as the heritage and working life of Dartmoor railways and tramways from the early 1800s to the mid-20th century. The Tavistock-Okehampton line, the Exeter and Teign Valley Railway and the Princetown line will all be covered. Prior booking is essential. For a non-member of the society the cost is £17 per person (to include coffee, buffet lunch and tea). Please send cheques (payable to The Dartmoor Society) to PO Box 38, Tavistock PL19 0XJ.
