SOUTH Zeal gained revenge on Pinhoe on Saturday after losing to them earlier in the season after being the better side for most of the game.
This time the roles were reversed as the visitors started well and had most of the possession but could not create a chance against some great defending by the home side.
As the first half wore on the pace of Harley Cann and Darren Gilbert started to expose the Pinhoe defence and after 30 minutes Zeal went one up when Harley latched onto a through ball from Tom Reilly and set up an easy finish for Jamie Atherton.
With a breeze at their backs in the second half Pinhoe put Zeal under tremendous pressure but time after time they kept the visitors out with some great headed clearances and blocks in the penalty area.
As the second half wore on the Zeal forwards started to get chances and with 15 minutes left the much needed second goal arrived when Darren Gilbert was put through and he finished well from 12 yards.
Zeal wrapped up the game five minutes from time when Garry Smith put Harley Cann through on goal and he drew the keeper and slid the ball into the left hand corner of the net..
