Devon County Council’s adult education provider, Learn Devon, has recently launched its new programme for adult learners.

New courses are set to start from August and September onwards and Learn Devon is currently taking enrolments.

Learn Devon's new office will allow residents to speak directly to the customer support team. Now based at Abbey Rise on Whitchurch Road, Tavistock, the location replaced the former Plymouth Road site in 2025.

Learn Devon continues to offer face-to-face courses and now uses a range of venues across West Devon to deliver its key programme. Alongside this, a number of new courses and qualifications can be accessed online.

Learn Devon’s latest programme includes GCSEs and Functional Skills in English or Maths - key qualifications that can open doors to employment, career progression, and greater confidence in everyday life. Fast-track English and Maths programmes are also on offer, ideal for those looking to quickly gain qualifications while balancing work or family commitments.

If you’re returning to learning after a break, looking to change careers, or simply want to support your children’s education, now is the perfect time to get started ready for the Autumn courses.

In addition to core subjects, Learn Devon has expanded its Skills and Development programme to include qualifications for mentoring, early years, self-employment, and sectors such as education, mental health and team leadership.

Courses are designed with adult learners in mind, featuring small, welcoming groups and supportive tutors who are passionate about helping people succeed.
