FOR the third Saturday running, Okehampton Argyle's first team match against Boca Seniors in the Devon Premier Cup was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Devon FA had switched the game to Simmons Park in the hope of getting it played, but overnight rain and heavy showers on Saturday morning meant that this was to no avail. A fourth attempt to play the match will be made this Saturday at Simmons Park kick off 2pm.

Okehampton Argyle Reserves won their first game of the season in some style as they overcame Seaton Town Reserves 8-2 away from home in Devon and Exeter eight. This was a tremendous performance by this young side although they were aided by the inclusion of two first team players. Okehampton demoralised Seaton in the first 20 minutes as they stormed into a 4-0 lead.

Seaton showed their spirit and pulled back to 4-1 after the interval before Argyle keeper Ben Woodhouse was red carded after an altercation in the area. But even with ten men, Argyle Res continued to dominate and doubled the score to run out 8-2 winners at the final whistle. Goalscorers for Argyle were Steve Madge 4, Tom Williams, Brad Ausden, Neil Vernon and Dan Leahy.
