BRIDESTOWE Cricket Club will be celebrating its 90th anniversary on Saturday with a match between its first XI and a Chairman's XI.
Neon Reynolds, the club's chairman, told the Times: 'Although in cricketing terms 90 years is not a great age for a club, when one remembers that cricket has been played in this small village since shortly after the end of the First World War, it is certainly worth an achievement marking.
'The club would like to invite anyone who has been involved with the club in the near or distant past or is involved with it in any way today, to attend the game and have tea on the ground this coming Saturday.'
