Okehampton U16s 60

AFTER a months lay-off due to weather and the Christmas period Okehampton were eager to impress.

Playing down the slope in the first half South Molton had no answer to the strong running of the visitors who created holes in the home defence every time Oke charged down the hill.

Special mention must go to the try scoring runs of Liam, Jack and Karl for Okehampton.

The first half concluded with visitors firmly in control leading 41-0.

The second half started with a rejuvenated South Molton team running down the hill to make it more of a contest with Oke having to defend several phases before taking control of the match to finish off the game at 60-0.

Try scorers Calum, Karl, Ryan(2), Jack, Liam, Kieran, Billy(2), Giles. Conversions Billy(3), Luke, Will and Kieran.

With a short period of time left the game turned to a friendly with the highlight of the game being Patrick Webb receiving the ball and making a strong run to dive over and score.

Well done to Okehampton's Jack Williams and Calum Pillivant for reaching the South West trials.
