THIS week sees the launch of a new cricket competition in West Devon.

The T20 competition, starting on Tuesday, May 9 sees the four Devon League teams in West Devon — Bridestowe, Lewdown, Tavistock and Whitchurch play each other on a home and away basis over the next six weeks.

The top two teams will then contest a final to be played on Tues, June 21.

The aim is to provide competitive mid-week cricket and valuable practice.
