DESPITE a plucky 43 by Clive Marais for the home team it was the visitors who triumphed in the end.

Hatherleigh thirds posted a respectable 152 with D Greenwood hitting 45 and M Floyer contributing 30.

Bridestowe seconds were 11 runs short of the visitors’ total with Greenword (3-23) and Forgham (4-38) doing the damage with the ball.

Hatherleigh thirds are now second in the table.
