FOLLOWING their extended break, Chagford overcame a difficult Dawlish side, to complete the double over them.

The visitors welcomed two new transfers in, one of whom (Will Cork) was to mark his return to the fold with a goal and a man of the match peformance. Sam Buckingham, a late signing from division one leaders Cronies FC, had a solid debut at the back and looks to be a useful acquisition.

Frank Astill- Sheppard added to his impressive goal tally as Chagford look to rise further up the table.

CHAGFORD were impressive in putting the divisional leaders to the sword, the second time they have done so this season. Dan Stone grabbed a double; the second was a superb volley from Hubble’s pinpoint cross. Hubble himself finished off the match with a shot that left the visitors’ keeper flapping at thin air.

Both teams should take credit for their play, Chagford after they had weathered the St Martin’s early attacks and their opponents for battling throughout, even after being reduced to ten men. Witheridge have not won a point since Chagford toppled them from the top and a promotion place is well within the capabilities of the Moormen.
