CHAGFORD Reserves finally finished their season with this quarter-final cup home match against tough opponents.

For much of the first half, the hosts were on the back foot and their lack of match practise showed. The Lions went a goal up with a superb free-kick from Ross McNicholas that left Jackson rooted to the spot.

Top scorer Darren Siwiec netted in the 24th minute, from close range, which raised Chagford heads as they played their way back into the match.

Second half goals from Kyle Hynd and McNicholas sealed the win for the visitors but not before Chagford had spurned their own chances.

Chagford Reserves have finished in third place in division nine of the Devon and Exeter league and must be hopeful of promotion.
