Devon two

North Tawton 3

St Columba and Torpoint 35

SAINT Columba's pack dominated the match in wet and very cold conditions to pave the way for a victory that maintains their second place in the league.

North Tawton opened the scores with a penalty kick from Jamie Stevens, but soon after an early Tawton line out St Columba powered through to its first of their four tries before half time

In the second half Tawton had improved their performance against the Cornish side. Their defence was much more improved as they pushed their way into St Columba's territory with possession of the ball, but gave away too many missed passes and knock-ons and not capitalising on St Columba's sin bin.
