AT Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday the first of the early Autumn frosts soon vanished, to be replaced by beautiful blue skies and sunshine which bathed the course.

A four ball better ball Stableford was contested and the winners of division one with 43 points were Kevin Cornwall and Mark Wonnacott. Second place went to Lewis Parry and Will Searle with 42 on the back nine from, in third, Paul Skidmore and Richard Reid. Division two was won by Callum Goodwin and Richard Prouse with a score of 45pts. Matt Flavin and Mike Lang were second with 44, and after countback third position went to Alan Dunn and Alan Jeffery on 42.

The October Stableford in the silver division was won by Marcia Guy with 29ptsl second Abby Turner with 28 and third Jane Warren on 27. The bronze division winner was Michelle Abel with 33pts; second Valerie Dodsworth with 31 pts and third Lorna Evans with 26.
