Clive White cup
North Tawton 75
Crediton thirds 0
THE last match of the season for North Tawton was the home leg of the Clive White Cup against a Crediton fifteen. After a hesitant start North Tawton really cut loose and ran up an impressive tally of eleven tries, ten of which were converted by fly half Jamie Stevens.
Crediton had no answer to the expansive running game North Tawton employed. Once they had established scrum dominance, with a solid front row base of the ever-reliable Pete Wonnacott, Alfie May and Dan Quinn, they scored two early back row tries from scrums close in through captain Steve King and Mike Young. Line outs were also going well, with Aaron Hart jumping well for several good takes.
Tawton then began to exercise their fast three quarter line. This brought tries for Alex Arthurs, Will Lethbridge , two for Tom Chisholm, and two for Cameron Rickerby. One of his tries came from an interception on about the half way line and he sprinted away and went over with a swallow dived. The forwards were not left out with another try each for King and Young, and one for hooker Alfie May.
North Tawton end the season in fourth position in the Tribute Devon two league.
