HAVING gained the maximum 8 points against the opposition in their home fixture, they were seeking another win.
Beth Dennis and Kath Bolt started off strongly for Oke and soon took the first set 6-2 and the second 6–0. In the second match Beth's spin provided problems for the opposition and coupled with some fine passing shots from Kath they cruised to victory 6-2, 6-1.

THIS proved to be a closely fought and enjoyable encounter.
Father and daughter combination of Oke's Becca and John Jarvis started against a strong opposition pairing. The teams were evenly matched and both sets went to 6-6. Unfortunately for the home side they lost both tiebreaks. They then found it difficult to adjust to the less powerful hitting of the second pair but did manage to take the first set 7-5. Becca and John started to time the ball better in the second set and romped home 6-0.
Elizabeth Ryder and Graeme Duck lost the opening set 5-7 before they found more consistency and better length to take the second set 6-4.
This led to a tense and closely fought deciding tiebreak which they won 11-9. They found it difficult to cope with the forceful play of the opposition first pairing and lost in straight sets.
