AT Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday a large field competed in a four ball better ball Stableford, both to count on par threes' competition.

The winners of division one were Gareth Holt and David Grimes with 52 points.

In second were Rod Wright and Ray Stevens on 51 while Aaron West and Will Kinkead were third with 50 points.

Division two was won by Alan Grimshaw and Mike Davis with an excellent 59 points; second were Roy Ford and Ron Copeland with 54 on the back three from, in third, Bob Collett and Ray Grey.

On February 19 the ladies' division took part in a Greensomes Stableford Com-petition for The Rees Baker Cup.

The winners of the trophy with 35 points were Sue Williams and Maggie Caws; second on 34 were Sue Stanbury and Mary Keir closely followed by Cherry James and Michelle Widdows with 33.

On Sunday a three ball two to count Shotgun competition was held and despite the windy conditions some admirable scores were achieved.

The winners with 79 points were Del Owen, Paul Widdows and Janice Thwaites and second position went to David Williams, Lin Atkinson and Dennis Edwards with 74.

An enjoyable time was had by all and the match was then followed by the annual presentation of trophies.
