IT was a relatively quiet week on the race calendar for Okehampton Running Club members but there were some remarkable achievements nevertheless.
Jane Richardson ran her 75th Park Run at Exeter Riverside in a time of 28 minutes 59 seconds giving her an amazing age graded percentage score. Chris Turner also ran but jogged the course with a sore knee. That same sore knee resulted in him pulling out of the River Otter and Railroad 10k on Saturday.
Mat Pitson and Stuart May did ‘Run Exe 5K’ and both achieved a personal best, Mat in 17.42 and Stuart in 19.31.
A good number of runners turned out for The Run in the Park which took place last Sunday but results were not available for this week’s report.
This Sunday will be the first of the ORC race series with Cosdon Hill Race taking place at 2.30pm from Belstone village. Perhaps club members are saving themselves for this gruelling climb!
