Dan Yeoman at string 5 had a close encounter, with it going into the deciding game but, with Dan struggling with a leg injury hampering his movement, he was on the wrong end of a 2-3 score line. Justin Gliddon at string 4 had too much for his opponent - looking sharp as he won 3-0. Simon Ramsay at string 3 hit good accurate width, and overpowered his opponent, coming out the 3-0 victor.
Phil Allin at string 2 still struggling with a wrist injury meant he could not hit with his normal power. He was also up against a strong opponent who came out on top - so a 0-3 defeat for Phil, his first for some time.
Phil Kemsley at string 1 came up against former team mate Clive Marais — who hit with too much accuracy with deft drop shots for a 0-3 defeat. This resulted in a 2-3 loss for the team, an 8-14 point defeat.
The team hope to return to winning ways when they face a tough away fixture against Devon and Exeter in a couple of weeks time.
