Torrington U12s 3 tries

IN dry crisp January weather Okehampton played Torrington for the first time.

Torrington were short of players so Oke boys Jeremy, Michael, Marley, Hector, Jack, Oscar, Xav and Joe sportingly turned out for them. In the first quarter Oke started strongly with some lovely rugby being played as Hector went over for the first try. Luka followed with the second and Xav, with a powerful run for the third. 

Connor’s huge run through the middle set up Marley for the fourth Oke try while a superb exchange of play between Ollie and Roman resulted in Roman scoring try number five. 

The second quarter was more evenly matched as Torrington kept going and displayed some great attacking and defensive rugby. Oke were good at the break down and turn overs which resulted in tries for Noah, Oscar and Ollie but Torrington still competed. Oke added two more tries from Xav and Michael.

The Oke forwards had a great game with huge tackles and turn overs and superb runs from Con, Joe and Marley with Michael, the smallest player on the field, making the biggest tackle.

Torrington scored their first try of the game and quickly followed with their second. More tries came for Oke by Hector, Ollie and Luka to wrap up the game.
