KELLY College cricketers have been enjoying a spell of fine form, with several teams collecting a number of impressive wins against Shebbear.
Five teams were in action on Saturday. The first XI led the way, recording a confident victory. Jonty Newton scored 85 not out to help the Kelleians to a total score of 153-3.
The U15A team were secured a comfortable win, finishing the match with a 105 run advantage. William Bennett scored 54 not out. The U15B team also won against Shebbear by eight wickets.
The U13A team won their match against Shebbear by 27 runs. The U13B team had to battle through a much more closely fought encounter. A single run decided the match and ensured the Kelleians' victory.
These results were in contrast to the recent Devon Cup match played by the U13As against Hele's School.
The Kelly College team cruised to victory, winning by 101 runs. Callum Worth was an outstanding performer, scoring 60 runs.
