OKEHAMPTON Police have received reports of anti-social behaviour issues and criminal damage on the grounds of St Peters Church in North Tawton.

A police spokesperson said: ‘A group of youths have been seen congregating inside the church, leaving litter, moving items and interfering with the sets and props for the upcoming show, Oliver.’

The police have said that this was unacceptable behaviour and wanted to remind young people that the church was not a playground.

The spokesperson also said that young people needed to respect the grounds and others that use the church.
