FIREFIGHTERS from North Tawton were called to tackle a vehicle fire between Heath Cross and Northbeer Cross, Spreyton.

One crew attended on September 3 at 7.35pm and found the vehicle to be well alight. Firefighters used breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets from a street hydrant to tackle the fire which they believe was accidental. The car was severely damaged.
