A man has been seriously injured in a collision between two cyclists yesterday (Friday) near Chagford.

A 54-year-old man from the local area sustained serious life threatening injuries and a 19-year-old local man sustained minor injuries in the collision near to Collihole Farm.

The injured pedal cyclist was airlifted to hospital where he continues to be treated for life threatening injuries.

Local officers as well as officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team attended the scene. Once a forensic investigation had been conducted the road was re-opened.
