FIRE crews have been mobilised to Moretonhampstead after reports of a tractor well alight.

One fire appliance from Moretonhampstead and one from Chagford attended the incident on Hill Farm Road at 12:20pm this afternoon (July 25).

On arrival, crews confirmed there was a large agricultural tractor ion fire. Crews extinguished the fire using 2 hose reel jets.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue spokesperson said that the tractor was severely damaged by fire and the cause was accidental.
