DOGS attacking a sheep, criminal damage to vehicles and pick-pocketing are among the crimes to have taken place in the Okehampton area.
• VANDALS went on a spree in Mill Road, Okehampton overnight on Saturday to Sunday, December 9 to 10, damaging several cars.
A blunt instrument was used to damage the roof of a silver VW Polo parked opposite the park. Its nearside rear window and quarter light were also smashed, CR107130.
And on the same night, a Land Rover Freelander, parked outside the Masonic Lodge, was ‘keyed’ on both the front and rear offside doors, CR107103.
• A MOTORIST drove off without paying for petrol from the Shell garage at Sourton on the A30 late on Thursday afternoon, December 7. The driver of a black Peugeot got away with fuel worth £40 at 5.24pm, CR107135.
• CHEFS’ knives worth £300 were stolen from the boot of a car parked in Balmoral Crescent, Okehampton overnight on Monday to Tuesday, December 11 to 12. The knives were stolen from the unlocked boot of the white VW Passat between 4pm and 7am, CR107671.
• DOGS attacked and killed two sheep at a farm at Sticklepath on Monday afternoon, December 11. A neighbour witnessed the attack on sheep in a field at around 2pm and alerted the farmer. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police quoting CR107132.
• GRAFFITI was daubed on the back walls of the Co-op in Market Street, Okehampton overnight on Tuesday to Wednesday, December 12 to 13.
• OFFENDERS cut through a chain link fence and stole fuel from a coach parked in Merrivale Road at Exeter Road Industrial Estate in Okehampton. Two men were seen in the area at the time of the incident driving a silver Transit Connect. CR/108528/17.
• A RED Mitsubishi pick-up had both near side doors scratched while parked at Chagford Car Park between 5pm on December 15 00.30am on December 16. CR/108952/17.
• A PURSE was stolen from a woman’s coat pocket with more than £170 inside, plus bank cards, driving licence and jewellery. The incident took place on George Street in Okehampton between 1pm and 1.20pm on December 16. CR/109201/17.
