OKEHAMPTON Town Council is discussing changes to make its website more user-friendly.
They include better links to social networking sites, including Twitter and Facebook.
Linking facilities to such networking sites will allow a wider range of internet users to find out about the work of the council.
New photographs will be used and the colours of the town crest will be incorporated into the site's design.
Pages will be updated more regularly, with agendas and minutes of committee meetings being posted online more swiftly.
Access to town councillors will also be improved, with each councillor represented by a photograph and information page.
Councillors are setting up a sub-committee to look at prototypes.
