THE annual South Zeal Big Weekend is just around the corner, with fun for the whole family.

The weekend kicks off with the return of the summer ball on Friday, July 6, with tickets already sold out.

Zale Fayre at the recreation ground on Saturday, July 7 will be as jam-packed as ever, with activities for young and old.

The South Zeal Beer Festival kicks off the fayre day events in the marquee on the recreation ground, with the first pints being pulled at noon. The festival runs on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6pm.

A barbecue and cream teas will be available throughout the weekend.

From 2pm the fayre kicks off, with a bouncy castle, games from OCRA, stalls and games to enjoy.

On Sunday, July 8 the beer festival continues, with live music from popular local band the Fireblockers.

All money raised at the event will go to South Zeal Recreation Ground.
